Who’s vote? Our vote!

A part of my job at Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA) is being the Democracy Ambassadors coordinator. This election, LSNA has trained 150 “democracy ambassadors” who have pledge in total to turn out 2,500 voters from within their own networks of family, friends, and neighbors – paying special attention to new and infrequent voters. Most of LSNA’s democracy ambassadors are immigrant women, many of whom are not eligible to vote themselves. Nevertheless, they are committed to unlocking their power as matriarchs to transform voting into a family and community habit. Recently, we had a “Parade to the Polls” here are a few pictures from the event.
